APPS Accelerator?

Hi Friends,

I had heard from my friend, that oracle has launched some accelerator, which will perform the basic functional setups required for an organization like SOB...whether it is true? If true kindly give me the details...

Accelerator has a Setuptool which has a predefine question which need to be answerd acording to the client requirement....it will not set any setups....it will just take the names of differnet setups ,......if ur going for default setups...

First thing is that your company should be an oracle partner to use oracle accelerator. The consultants including DBA should first clear some exams (not a tough one) online and then you will be given a workspace to perform the accelerator setups in the local instance. Once oracle is convinced that you can handle the accelerator tool, you can use it in the clients instances.

The tool contains the detailed questionnaire which needs to be answered by the consultants. Based on the answers, the tool will do the configuration. Manual interventions are needed after the auto configuration. Localization setup should be done manually (as of now).
