Invisibility of the organization made

Hi all,
i am using PROD instance in which the RUP4 patch has been applied still at time of making organsiation i am not having any LOV's in company type.... May i please know why?? one more thing the organization that i made is not visible to me giving me the error that the name i gave is invalid. But it has been defined by me. Kindly help me out
