Hi,
We can Split One Asset with Many Units to Many Assets, But I am not sure about the Depreciation History. I will check and update you at the earliest.

Thanks

<font face="Verdana">Hi,
we can use the Mass Addition to split the assets...

You must choose to split an asset in the Prepare Mass Additions screen

The Navigation Path is: Mass Additions>Prepare Mass Additions

Trying to split an asset after it has been Posted cant be done.

The Navigation Path is:
Mass Additions > Prepare Mass Additions > Find > Open > Asset,
Depreciation (drop down box) > Assignments (button) > Done (button)

1) Query the Mass Addition Line you want to change.
2) Click Open
3) Select Asset, Depreciation from the drop down list.
4) Change the number of units to the required value.
5) Click assignments. You will see Units Remaining field is not zero.
6) Change the number of units in the distributions zone from 1 to the required number. Units Remaining field will change to zero.
7) Click Done. You are returned to the Mass Additions Summary window.
8) Click Split.
9) U will get a Message to Split this Mass Addition? Click OK.

You will see a confirmation message indicating that your line has been split
into the required number of lines</font id="Verdana">
<font color="blue"><font face="Verdana">
The split function in Mass Additions => Prepare Mass Additions will only split multiple units, not a single unit into multiple subcomponents. Without
defining a parent asset and its subcomponents individually, calculating
original cost for each subcomponent, and retiring the single asset unit, you
cannot split a single unit asset into multiple components after running
depreciation.</font id="Verdana"></font id="blue">

Hi,
I am not sure about how to use the split for the assets which have the status as Posted, but you can check with the mass changes details......

Check and do it in test instance.....

It will be better if you can explain what you are trying to do as explained by Admin.

Thanks,
