hi
thanks for your mail,
regarding revenue recognition, you require accounting rules to distribute revenue periodically,
you require invoicing rules to record invoice whether you receive in advance or in arrears.
if you enable deferred check box,it attracts in advance invoice rule.
steps
1)Generate a transaction and select invoicing rule in the transaction
2)go to line items and select accounting rules and complete the transaction.
3)run revenue recognition program to get accounting entries and then transfer to gl

hi
regarding your first query ,say gaurantee is for rs 12000
entry wil be
unbilled recevables dr 12000
to unearned revenue 12000
-------------------------------------
if sales order is placed against the guarantee entry is say for rs 5000
receivables dr 5000
to revenue 5000
--------------------------------
for the balance in guarantee ie rs 7000
unearned revenue dr 7000
to unbilled revenue 7000
so the balance in unearned revenue is 7000

If I have 4 deposits totaling 100 and I have one invoice of 93 now how can I apply these 4 deposits to a solely lonely 1 invoice
I understand what u means to say in replying to my first query but from where in the system can I know this that how much amount of guarantee is left?. And how in the system the invoice will knock off the guarantee. plz elaborate not by making accounting enteries but in the application functions
