ISSUE REGARDING THE AVERAGE COST UPDATION

Dear friends,

Can any one help me in resolving the following issue?

N: Inventory --> Transactions --> Material Distributions --> Select Item from L.O.V. --> Find --> Material-Transaction Distributions -->

I would like to know the reason why the AVERAGE COST UPDATION is suddenly becoming zero after few transactions of an item. And some times it is also going to NEGATIVE.
