Inter company setup

Hi All,
In R12 environment I want to know the Intercompany setup in the following scenari:
client is having 12 companies with 12 separate LE. they want to map all transactions betweel 2 to 9 companies thru 1 (it is just a clearing company, physically not exist)
and any between 10,11&12 they want to map thru 10
and any transaction 1-9 & 10-12, they want to map thru 9
in nutshul they want to use 3 clg companies.
Is It possible in r12 setup. I heard that clg company concept will not work in case of multiple LEs, Is that true...
can any one pls help on this. If I am not clear, just tell me wat r possible ways for Intercompany transaction in case of group company.
