period closing

which sub ledger module will close first in period ending(monthly/yearly)

Hi anjireddy
For your question, I think any sub modules can close in the period ending (AP before AR, AR before AP) but in all cases you preferred close the period in each module after the transfer to GL function.

Purchasing
Payables
Receivables
CM
Assets
General Ledger
Once if inventory is closed you can not open again..
Befor closing you need check all pending transaction module wise
then you have to close

if we close the period, we still can open it from TOAD, I have been do it, all the time

Hi wenjie
I would like to inform you that by using TOAD we can do anything on Database, we can update in data, amounts, balances but this is very dangers & not recommend form Oracle unless you fix a problem & meta link send to you a SQL statement to run it on DB.
If you open the period through TOAD and any problems appear to you, may be you will lose the support from Oracle.

TOAD is a tool using in oracle database. It has a lot of options like Debugger, SQL tuning, Formatter, Admin, ...etc
