set of book

Hi all,
i have 7 segment set of book. Now I am trying to create a new set of book with 4 segment. i have created new calender, currency, and chart of accounts. My problem is i could not enter retained earnings account codes while defineing set of book. It warns "please enter the existing code combination".
What is reason behind this. please helpme out.

Hi Hari,
please check it out in the profile options regarding the SOB
if its a old sob with 7 segments then u can't do
do change to new sob name and u can work out smoothly

Hi,
I think on Accounting Flexfield you have disabled Dynamic Insertion so now you will have to define Account code combinations then you can use any account code assuming that you are using two separate SOB's. Let us know if still problem persists.

The problem is creating set of book, then how can i change is sob in profile option.

Hi,
Check the cross-validation rule and security rule in previous one ....
If the above 2 rules are applied then only u got the errors like"Choose the
Existing Combination"
if anything wrong pls correct it

As per my knowledge you need to assign the SOB to your Resp. in the profile options
Res: .................
Profile: GL Set of Books Name%
add the set of Books then Try.

ok you want create new set of book so you will do one thing
go to segments structures query your structure and you have to enable the check box Allow Dynamic Insert Option ok then set of book will create
