Hi

Can any one guide me how to do the multi org set up and please brief me clearly with the set ups.

Hi Santosh,

There are three basic steps needs to be performed to enable Multi-Org.
They are as follows:

<font color="red"><b>1.Define Organization Structure

2.Convert to Multi-Org

3.Peroform setups unique to each operating unit like Finanical Options,Supplier Site setups etc.,</b></font id="red">


You need to define the Organization Structure based on the client requirements.
Define the organization structure with lot of care because it plays an important role.

To conver the organization to multi org you need to follow the below steps.

<font color="red"><b>(i) Run ADADMIN to convert to Mutli Org

(ii) Run seed data replication</b></font id="red">

After this you need to perform the setups unique to each operating unit based on the client requirements.

If you still have any doubt bounce it back to the forum so that it can be addressed.

I have some questions about multi-org setup in 11.5.8. Here is the scenario.

My client wants to convert to multi-org in 11.5.8 to get separate financial reporting for two ?entities? that are not legal entitites but for which they need a separate set of books.

My questions are:
1. Wouldn't separate sobs mean also 2 separate chart of accounts? or could 2 entities share the same sobs?


2. What would be an easier way to get financial data for the 2 separate entities without creating separate sobs? or is this even possible?

3. Also with the multi-org conversion we will create separate responsibilities for the 2 separate entities to get separate financial reporting information, but i'm a little confused on how this will be setup or configured in the apps to get separate financial reporting data. Any advice on this will help.

Please keep in mind the client is still on 11.5.8.

Is this program only for 10.5 version or 11i version also applicable
