How to change Net Book Value of an Asset

Post by aganguly »

We have run the depreciation upto March-2009 and closed the depreciation period for March, 2009.

Now I want to change the opening value(Net Book Value) of one asset in the month of April,2009.

I would like to know how to change the opening value of an asset manually without running depreciation for the month of April,2009.

Thanks.

Hi,

To change the Net Book Value of as asset
1, Query the Asset from Asset Work Bench
2, Click on Books.
3, Select the books from the list of Values.
4, Please find the Unplanned Depreciation Button.
(Here you can give Positive or Negative Depreciation amount and the Expense Distribution code, which will calculate the Net Book Value)

This will be done before running the Depreciation

Hope this is useful, and request folks to add more inputs on this.

Best Regards,
