Secondary ledger in R12 can differ from the primary ledger in accounting representation, coa, currency. If I have a requirement where my secondary ledger differs only in currency with my primary, is there cases that i will still need a reporting ledger if required? Why and when?

With 11i, it was pretty easy during implementation to have Gl responsibility and a GL super user to do the job.With R12, apart from the user for all modules, the Gl super user and responsibility is it mandatory to have a primary and secondary ledger super users and responsibilities?

You are right Anjan but i guess sometimes as a layman you need anything to clear the haze.
As I understand it, SLA is when you are creating a transaction in AP,AR or other subleger, all the accounting entries and attributes you need for that very transaction (amount,currency, date etc) before it is ...

Are you guys saying that if I have 2 or 3 OU, I will have 2 or 3 Primary ledgers?
I thought that the first ledger I setup will be my primary and if I have a reporting one that will be my secondary and for my primary I just have to attach the 1 or 2 or 3 OU's depending on the ...

With R12, can we have just a Primary ledger or we have to have both primary and secondary ledgers together during setup?

internal bank........external?
internal account.........external?
internal sales order
external sales order
Suppliers account

Can someone explane to me their meaning and usage please?
If some of them don't exist at all let me know also.
